Making Nature Sacred3-Rebecca Culbreth

"Ah, why should we, in the world's riper years, neglect God's ancient sanctuaries, and adore only among the crowd, and under roofs, that our frail hands have raised?" p.74

He's right, who are we to dare neglect what God has made for us? These ancient sanctuaries, this sacred and special wilderness that is the world that He created for us, we are slowly but surely hurting it. We adore only the roofs that our frail hands have raised... we are impressed by buildings and cities and statues, why not by trees and plants and the wild? This quote is harsh and brash but I think it definitely rings true. I think people tend to overlook the little things that are sacred. People are mesmerized by the works of man but not so much by the works of God. That is completely backwards, if anything should amaze us it is the world that was created for us.
