Movie- Spencer Beeson

The movie that the school showed the other day was quite interesting and was a good example of how the land can affect a human being. The movie was about a man named Jr. who had been into drugs and drinking and not really doing anything with his life. His father lived up in Alaska in a remote town that didn’t allow drinking and didn’t have much to do. Jr., being from the city did not like it at first and would still find ways to disobey his father. The turning point of the movie was when Jr. went on a camping trip with his father that forced him to live like his natives. He went ice fishing and hunting out in the middle of nowhere. This experience changed his views about the life his father had made and where he came from. He felt out of place when he went back to live with his mother and you could really see the impact the place had on him. Jr. ended up compromising and moving back to Alaska where he ran his own radio station playing rap music that he enjoyed listening to.
