Spiritual Place- Spencer Beeson

The place that is spiritual in my life is the new river. One of my friends had a house about a mile from the new river and we would always go down to the river and fish and hang out. This place might be ‘spiritual’ because of the natural environment that the river offers and my friends which added to the good atmosphere. After talking in class I realized the many stories that I shared with the river. I have cut my foot in the river, caught in its current and been thrown down some rapids, lost my sandals in it, and even whitewater rafted in the new river. The stories that the river and I share strengthen the connection I have with it. The memory and emotions the river creates most likely is the cause for its sacredness
