The most significant place to me is a park in my hometown. The Prince William County Forest Park is significant to me because my family goes there often for walks, picnics and camping. It has always brought us together and continues to do so. We always have a good time when we go and it is just a special place for my family. I believe it is significant and special because of its peacefulness, beauty and wonder, but also because of the intimacy, serenity and tranquility it provides for my family.
After reading chapter 8 and after our class discussion, I realize that this place is always changing and that’s another reason the place is special. Each memory and each experience is different and special in its own way. The fact that we can go there and always have such experiences and memories makes it different from many other places. The experiences are often hard to define and unrepeatable because of their uniqueness.
