Making Nature Sacred-Chelsea Gilbert

"Our fathers were Englishmen which came over this great ocean and were ready to perish in this wilderness; but they cried unto the Lord, and He heard their voice and looked on their adversity." (Gatta 19) I think this quote is stating that God can be there when you ask for him. I think that when we make trips or do daily things, we can count on our spiritual lives to get us through it. All you have to do is ask for help. Someone shouldn't give up on accomplishing a goal because they are afraid of a bad occurance happening. A sacred journey through the wilderness should not be looked down upon because of fear. When we go into extreme situations and lean on others, whether they be spiritual or not, there is more certainty of a positive outcome.
