Blog from Class- Rebecca Culbreth

Camp Hat Creek is such a huge difference from the day-to-day in the city. There, there is nothing but God's creation. Life there is simplistic. Because there are no distractions, it is easy to see & feel God in places & ways you usually could not. He is present in the trees & in the lake. He is in the faces of the campers and in the family that is the staff. In the city those things are covered up by technology and non=necessities that people think to be so important. Being at camp is an entire lifestyle change. When you can see past decorations and an excessive lifestyle, it is easy to see what really matters.

It is so important in life that when you become too immersed in the lifestyles that we have evolved into, you take some time to step away from the hustle and bustle and appreciate things that are important. Always look for beauty in things that you normally would simply overlook. It is so easy to become overwhelmed with a social life and work loads and responsibilities, but never forget to be thankful for what you have and always find pleasure in the little things.
