Chris McCandless- Rebecca Culbreth
To be honest, I feel bad for Chris. I think he had honorable motives when we entered the wild, and I know he should have been much more prepared. But the saddest part of the story comes at the end, when Chris admits that life or anything significant isn't as good unless it is shared with someone else. For some reason, I feel that Chris was stuck alone in the wilderness, withering away, and when he finally realized that being alone in the wild was not at all what he wanted, it was too late. By then he was too sickly and weak to save himself. It is so sad that he spent his whole life chasing what he thought he wanted, only to find out that what he wanted was really what he had had all along. Maybe I'm wrong... maybe he really did find happiness out in the wilderness of Alaska. But if I'm right, Into the Wild was a tragic story with an unhappy ending.
